Scanning Screenshots to Add Leads

Turn screenshots from Checkatrade, MyBuilder, Bark, and more into leads automatically.

What Is Screenshot Scanning?

When you get a new enquiry on Checkatrade, MyBuilder, Bark, or even WhatsApp — you probably screenshot it. With A.X.E.L, you can turn that screenshot straight into a lead without typing a thing.

A.X.E.L reads the text from your screenshot, picks out the customer's name, phone number, location, and what they need — then creates a lead for you to review and save.

How to Use It

  1. Take a screenshot of the enquiry on your phone (or save one you already have)
  2. Open A.X.E.L and tap the green + button
  3. Select Lead
  4. Tap 📸 Scan Screenshot
  5. Choose the screenshot from your camera roll
  6. A.X.E.L extracts the details and shows you a pre-filled lead form
  7. Review the details, make any corrections, and tap Save

Supported Sources

A.X.E.L works with screenshots from:

  • Checkatrade — new lead notifications and enquiry details
  • MyBuilder — job postings and customer messages
  • Bark — lead notifications
  • WhatsApp — customer messages with job details
  • Email — forwarded enquiries or screenshots of email leads
  • Facebook Marketplace — messages about jobs

It works with most text-based screenshots. If the image is clear and readable, A.X.E.L will pick up the details.

Tips for Best Results

  • Make sure the text is readable — crop out unnecessary parts of the screenshot
  • Include the phone number — if it's visible in the screenshot, A.X.E.L will grab it
  • One screenshot per lead — if you've got multiple enquiries, scan them separately
  • Check the details — A.X.E.L is smart but not perfect. Always review before saving

Why Use This?

Most tradesmen get leads from five or six different places. Without a system, you end up with names scattered across apps, notebooks, and your memory. Screenshot scanning lets you centralise everything in seconds — no typing, no copy-pasting, no forgetting.
