Customising Your Business Settings
Set up your logo, business details, and make A.X.E.L properly yours.
Make It Yours
First impressions matter. When a customer gets a quote or invoice from you, it should look professional — your logo, your details, everything spot on. The business settings page is where you sort all that out.
Getting There
Head to Settings → Business Details. Everything you set here flows through to your quotes, invoices, and customer-facing documents.
Uploading Your Logo
A.X.E.L uses two versions of your logo to make sure things look sharp everywhere:
- Square logo — used for your profile icon, app header, and anywhere space is tight. Think of it like your profile picture.
- Landscape logo — used on invoices, quotes, and PDFs. This is the one that sits at the top of your documents.
Logo Tips
- Use a PNG or JPG file
- Square logo should be at least 200 × 200 pixels
- Landscape logo works best at around 600 × 200 pixels
- Keep file sizes under 2MB
- If your logo has a transparent background, PNG is your friend
Don't have a logo yet? Even a clean text-based logo looks a hundred times better than nothing. Get one sorted — it makes everything you send look more professional.
Business Details
Fill in the essentials. These show up on every quote and invoice you send:
- Business name — your trading name
- Address — your registered or trading address
- Phone number — main contact number
- Email address — where customer replies go
- Website — if you've got one (you should)
- VAT number — if you're VAT registered
- Company registration number — if you're a limited company
Take five minutes to fill this in properly. It's the foundation of every document A.X.E.L generates for you.
What Shows on Documents
When you send a quote or invoice, A.X.E.L automatically includes:
- Your landscape logo at the top
- Business name and full address
- Contact details
- VAT and company numbers (if provided)
It all gets formatted nicely in the PDF. You don't need to fiddle with templates or layouts — just fill in your details and A.X.E.L handles the rest.
Your Subscription Plan
Also in settings, you can see your current subscription plan. This shows you:
- Which plan you're on — and what's included
- Team member slots — how many people you can add
- Billing cycle — monthly or annual
- Next payment date
If you need to upgrade (maybe you've hired more people and need extra seats), you can do it right from here. Downgrades and cancellations are handled here too — no need to email support or jump through hoops.
Keep It Updated
Moved premises? Changed your phone number? Got VAT registered? Come back here and update your details. It takes thirty seconds and means every document going forward has the right info.
There's nothing worse than sending an invoice with an old phone number or the wrong address. Your customers notice these things, and it chips away at that professional image you're building.
Set it up once, check it every few months, and you're golden.
